Fry’s started the first half on the attack with a very determined attitude. This paid off in the second minute when Justin fired in a spectacular shot from long range to give the side a well deserved lead. The chances were coming thick and fast for Fry’s but no matter how they tried, the ball would not cross the goal line.

Brislington’s forwards started to push hard and in the 13th minute managed to get an equaliser with a low shot into the back of the Fry’s net.

Seven minutes later Brislington took the lead after Fry’s failed to clear the ball from just outside their area and a long high shot found its way into the top of the net.

Fry’s persisted to attack and had numerous chances to level the game but no matter how they tried they could not find that finishing touch.

Just before half time Brislington netted their third with a well played ball down the left wing, which was whipped into the area and excellently headed in to take them into half time 3-1 up.

It was the same story in the second half, with Fry’s piling on the pressure but just not finding that crucial finishing touch.

Brislington’s fourth came mid way through the second half when the ball was poked over the line in a goalmouth scramble following a corner.

Fry’s brought on their subs with 10 minutes to go to get some fresh legs on the field but the goals would still not come.

The score ended up 4-1, but in no way reflected the persistence and effort that all the boys put in.

Well done lads, carry on with that performance and the victories will come.
